Rainbow in Moholt - Trondheim

It was really beautiful! Yes, a rainbow just appeared a couple of hours ago here in Trondheim. Before, it was shower of the rain a little bit..cloudy sky covered the space...but, not so long after the rain stopped...the rainbow appeared altough as you can see in the photo some cloudy were still there. So amazing when I saw the rainbow...suddenly my mind lead me to a situation when we feel so sad and empty at time. But just dont give up..we shall keep on hope for a good time.
Good time will come..yes it will come..just dont ever loose your sight and confidence on hope.

Learn how to keep a hope...learn how to be patient and keep on trying...someday it will come!

International Institute of Women in Engineering (IIWE ) 2006

Great! Excellent! It was really nice experience attending and participating in IIWE 2006 Paris, France. Yup, like those previous postings I have posted before that I was in Paris, France for the duration of 3 weeks in order to participate in IIWE 2006 Summer Conference for Women Engineer. What a great 3 weeks experience!

There were 63 student participants from 21 different countries. There were interns, faculty members, speakers, etc. So just imagine, everyone from different parts of the world got together in one big event having great time and learning lots and lots knowledge from the course. Knowledge, sharing information, friendship, new culture, networking.

It was all about the Sustainability. This year for the 6th edition of IIWE, the topic was about Women Engineers: Pushing for Sustainability. This seminar emphasized topics appropriate to the immediate and future experiences of the IIWE participants: being young engineering students who, once out on the global job market, will be exposed to a diversity of engineering practices and traditions. Furthermore, it is also important to know about Life/Work Balance for women as the engineer as well as the mother. These two important roles and functions which should be addressed and understood in early stage so that the balance between two can be achieved. This issue is not necessary only for women but also interesting for male as well.
This activity is really highly recommended for all Engineering Students.

Paris oh Paris

What a time! What a place!.....I have spent almost 3 weeks here in Paris. Quite sometime for a summer seminar here in Paris. Well, I guess from previous posting it was on 2nd July 2006 and now just imagine take sometime to post a story here. Sometime when I open my blog and I see the date...oiii i feel so shy due to the absence I made for not to post anything ha ha ha...well simple explanation: I was busy with these activities regarding Women Engineering Seminar. Even then I should mention that finally Italy won the World Cup

Allright, basically for this posting I will just share my experience (just last nite!) visitting Eiffel Tower. It was really nice and exciting experience to see Eiffel Tower in the light for the evening hours...yes..really beautiful. I was just sitting in front of Eiffel Tower (two of my friends, Achel and Samana they went up to the top of Eiffel Tower....I didnt go with them since I have been there once from my previous visit to Paris). Anyway, I enjoyed so much my time in front of Eiffel Tower by looking at the magnificent of the tower, saw the people (quite many!) from all over the world. What an experience!
Simple, I keep inside my heart that..waow this place is really deserve to be one of most popular tourist place. This monument is really representing Europe in general.

So, I did enjoyed the sensation of sparkling Eiffel last evening until we all left the place around 11:30 pm or so...but we still managed to catch Metro even with lots and lots people! As usual Luxemborg station is the name of Metro station for us to drop in...

Well...this is for today story...I have to prepare again for the next activity!...well well...here is so so hot!

Allez les Blues...”Go..go..blue” France 1 – Brazil 0

Fantastic! It was the word I could give for the circumstances yesterday. Yup, it was the first time for me to see and to feel the heat of excitement for watching live game football.

Ok, let me tell something…right! I arrived in Paris on 30th June 2006 from Oslo, Norway (ooh so lucky I could manage to do automatic check in..otherwise it will be disaster!..) anyway, I am now in Paris for IIWE 2006. It is a summer seminar, International Institute of Women in Engineering. So that is the background why I am now in Paris. Well, for this part surely I will post sometime later

Now, back to the game. Yup, I was with friends (Achel : Zimbabwe/Norway, Kari-Anne : Norway, Ann : Sweden/Denmark, Tina : England, and Jasmine : Norway) had a dinner and watched the football game in Italian restaurant at Rue De La Harpe. The street is quite famous among the tourist since lots and lots international restaurants and cafes are located in this area. We were so lucky since lots of restaurants and cafes were already fully booked by visitors not only for enjoying the food but also for enjoying the game…voala!

So, as the game began..everybody was so excited with their own way, lots of visitors wore their blue football custom….football fashion with French’s style: blue, white and red. Men, women, kids were so energized to see the game…even us! It started with everybody sang their national anthem, La Marseillaise. It was so touching. Then, while we were watching the game…we ate our dinner…mine was Escalope de Poulet Grille (Chicken and potato fries) and parfums du Jour crème f glacée chocolat, café (ice cream)..nyummi…nyummi…
First part of the game was left with 0 for both of the teams. Continue, with 2nd part of the match: exactly at 57 minutes…Henry Thierry broke the deadlock. A free-kick from Zidane was floated into the box and the Arsenal striker was left unmarked to steer a right-footed volley into the net….and gol..gol….

Everyone was shouted…laughing..horeeeeey! Suddenly the restaurant was shaking by the noise…really fantastic!...even more, after the game finished…oooh Paris was so alive with those noise..people were singing the Allez les blues everywhere…with the flags and their customs.
Well..well..so interesting phenomenon that evening……Let’s wait and see what will be the result for the next game..so vi sees!
